Glenn arrived in Macao in 1995 while still under Portuguese administration and has witnessed the massive development of Macao to becoming the world’s leading gaming destination. Starting in one of Macao’s few public relations and event management companies, Glenn later joined the New Century Hotel & Casino as Director of PR and Director of Sales & Marketing. As a part-time lecturer also at Macao Polytechnic and the Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT), he later became a full time lecturer at IFT while also completing his PhD by correspondence in tourism marketing at one of the UK’s leading management schools, the School of Management, University of Surrey.

Today, Glenn is a consultant to the travel & tourism industry particularly in the areas of developing casino tourism and event tourism through his company Insights Unlimited. He has and continues to undertake research and training development for both government and travel and tourism industry. As a visiting faculty member at the University of Macau lecturing in public relations and at the Macau University of Science & Technology in convention & exhibition management, event management and tourism marketing he is one of the most published authorities on Macao’s tourism industry and is regularly cited in media.

Glenn has been the British Honorary Consul, Macao, since 2002.
